Our Bright Beginnings Preschool offers a variety of classes for children ages two through five.  Our learning experiences are play-based using a hands-on activity oriented approach.  Large and small group activities are included daily.  Self esteem is fostered while encouraging sharing, cooperation, and respect for others.  Our mission is to provide a positive preschool experience for each child. On this page you will find information that describes our programs, sessions and classes, special requirements, learning environment, field trips, screening services, evaluations, registration, student information form, school calendars and tuition. Questions about the preschool can be directed to Stacey Bonaroti, Preschool Director or to Kathy Chesley, registrar at 412-303-2428.

LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

We feel that children learn through play.  Classroom routines encourage active involvement, meaningful experimentation, and reinforcement through repetition.  Daily class schedules are designed to balance structure and free choice play, as well as active and quiet times.

Developmentally appropriate activities are incorporated in the daily plans.  Emphasis is also placed on listening, sharing, taking turns, speaking and following directions in group situations.

Gym Program:
Children are given daily opportunities to participate in a variety of gross motor activities in our gymnasium.
